Media Industries, and what they do.

Media industries are the sub categories of what media is defined to be, the industries with in the media society are all very well known and split into sections which are widely recognised through out the entirety of society. I will be writing my views of the media industries below for anyone to read. No information here has been provided by a reliable source, this is solely through my understandings of media.

  • Publishing (novels, books etc.)
Publishing is still as popular now as it was years ago when it first began, publishing takes into account all forms of printing media, for example, books, novels, kids books, annuals and a much wider variety of other products.

  • Magazines
Magazines are, in themselves, a whole world of different styles and categories; magazines have limitless different subjects and these days it is hard to find a magazine that wont suit you, publication of magazines in the media is a very big part in the modern society giving the audience information about how to’s, fashion, music and many other types of hobbies and interests.

  • Newspapers
Newspapers are one of the leading printed items of media, newspapers are widely recognised by any person, with many different publishers there is a selection of what newspaper you read, furthermore you can look deeper into newspapers and read them upon choice of your personal political views.

  • Animation
Animation is becoming more advanced in the modern world, animation is becoming increasingly more advanced in terms of technicality, but animation as a whole has been widely accepted by many generations as an interesting past time. The animation itself is a big industry; it involves a large amount of skill and time in order to produce high quality animation.

  • Film
Film is forever becoming more popular with all generations and interest types; the film industry is the most valuable industry with the largest amount of money fluctuation. The industry itself is creating films with high end budgets around one million $/£ and sometimes even more. The film industry on its own has advanced a magnificent rate in the last 50 years with incredible technology to back the film production section in media.

  • Television
Television is probably the most common form of mass media, television is now more accessible than ever, with 24/7 TV viewing as well as online websites for catching up on missed episodes, the television industry has taken the world by story keeping everyone up to date with everything around the world as well as local. TV is used for entertainment as well as factual and now, in this generation there are even endless music channels to keep the viewers singing along to all the latest music videos.
All in all television has such a broad amount of different cultures, classes and your bog standard stereotypes.

  • Web 2.0
The Internet. Clearly the most used form of media with out a doubt, for example, to read this article now, you have most likely already gone through 2-3 different pages in order to reach this destination. The World Wide Web as they call is an unlimited spindle of woven lines that lead to any possible site or information depot. The internet/ web is accessible by absolutely anyone and can be used for almost anything with no limit to what you can find the web has become one of the most favourite industries media has to offer.

  • Music
Music; music can found for anyone’s personal preference. Music has no line and there is no point at which music will stop. With a ridiculous amount of new songs coming out on a daily basis around the world, there is an enormous entity deep with in the music industry.
The music industry produces the majority of famous stars as well as music that anyone can enjoy. As human begins, we all share the fact that we love music, there is not a person in the world who would deny their love for a few tunes they enjoy.

  • Radio
Radio has been around for centuries now, starting off as the only form of media that could entertain with out the viewer or audience having to do anything but listen. The radio has kept our past strong relating back to the wars where radio was used to organise troops, to telling stories for all to hear, to what radio is seen as in our lifetimes. Radio has a large amount of different stories, music and news programmes. And it does not look that radio will die out any time soon.

  • Video Games
Video games have only become incredibly popular in recent centuries, through technology increasing in quality and performance; video games are created solely for enjoyment in any age group or person category.
Video games are a past time that many people enjoy and recently have become more incorporated into many lives with any variation of age and gender.

  • Facilities
Last but not least, facilities, one of the more vital industries we have on offer to us, with out facilities we would struggle creating media, facilities include camera renting, editing suites, and almost anything else you need in order to make what you plan.
Facilities are never really looked at in depth, which is a shame because media relies on the facilities in order to work. So on that note, thank you facilities for making media possible.
